Every week in the evenings after working normal day jobs, The Eastern Highs get set up to rehearse in their studio located in Troy, NY. They share a couple of stories, laughs, small talk and then turn down the studio lights. For a few hours they run through original songs that are inspired by the likes of The Band, Nina Simone, The Beatles, Johnny Cash and other roots based, soul based artists. As the night passes on with each song, the sound gets stronger, closer, tighter, the rhythm becomes more animated and the melodies transcend. There is music. The clock strikes midnight, and then pumpkins are everywhere. The lights get turned on. Each member walks single file out of the studio and onto the street. They say goodnight.
